AUDITION PREPARATION
Audition preparation consists mostly of one (sometimes two) sessions in which I prep you for your audition.We go over the song/scene, interpretation, presentation, function of the song/scene in the play, use of body, movement, props, interaction with the committee, what to wear, what to bring and how to work with a horrible partner. Furthermore we will look at all the different interpretations a director might ask and how to deliver on all of them. We will work on character, colouring, physical-gesture and anything that might be of value in you getting the part.Lately, I worked with a.o. Milan van Waardenburg to obtain the part of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables and Leonie Kappmeyer for her role of Sally Bowles in Cabaret.

CRAFT DEVELOPMENT
Are you new to the business and insecure about your technical abilities? Are your abilities not yet up to scratch?Are you a great dancer, but want to improve your acting skills? Or do you sing like Pavarotti but have no idea what to do on stage? Maybe you have tons of ideas but don't quite know how to bring them to life...I can help you brush up on your acting and interpretation skills. With more than twenty years of teaching experience, I will have you on track in no time.

ROLE PREPARATION
Preparing for a (Lead) role can be a daunting task.I can help you to establish your tasks, actions and goals for every scene and find different ways how to play different scenes. We can work on developing character by choosing the right actions and physicality. This way you come completely prepared to your first rehearsal.

SCRIPT INTERPRETATION AND DRAMATURGY
Really understanding a script makes your work as an actor (and director!) not only way easier, but is an indispensable and essential craft in arriving at the best result in your work. Having been taught by one of the absolute masters in this field, Ms. Stella Adler, I have taken her craft and adapted it for the musical stage, scripts and libretto's. We analyse the entire framework, the social, societal and historical perspectives, and what the above means in the process of creating a role or production. And how to translate all that to the stage.
