Marc Krone

"Marc provides us with a grand example of theater as a contact and painstaking sport that calls us to courage."

Tom Oppenheim
Artistic Director of The Stella Adler Center for the Arts, New York.

After having studied with Stella Adler in New York, Marc Krone had an extensive acting and singing career spanning more than 25 years in both straight- and musical theatre.

He worked in America as an actor in works by Shakespeare, Molière, and Tennessee Williams.

After returning to Holland he appeared in a myriad of parts for television, theatre, and opera and was a long-standing member of the (in)famous ‘Werkteater’ where he, as both actor and director, was responsible for the creation of more than thirty productions.

From the mid 90’s he focused mainly on musical theatre and starred in productions as Hoera we zijn Normaal, Titanic, Company, Merrily We Roll Along, and The Three Musketeers.

Since 2003 he has been directing, teaching, and coaching students and professionals. As head of the drama department at 'Fontys Hogeschool Voor de Kunsten in Tilburg he worked in close connection with Edward Hoepelman. He also taught drama at the CVA (Conservatory of Amsterdam) and gave Masterclasses 'acting for singers' in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Bulgaria, and Ukraine.
His expertise lies in his ability to adapt a myriad of acting techniques for the use of singers.
Apart from that he is a versatile director and coach in opera, operetta, and musical theatre.
