Sessions can be booked for
- Audition preparation
- Craft development and/or deepening of craft and abilities
- Role preparation
- Scrip development or script interpretation
- Self-tape shooting
Audition preparation consists mostly of one (sometimes two) sessions in which I prep you for a killer audition.
We go over the song/scene, interpretation, presentation, function of the song/scene in the play, use of body, movement, props, interaction with the committee, what to wear, what to bring and how to work with an horrible partner. Furthermore we will look at all the different interpretations a director might ask. And how to deliver on all of them. We will work on character, colouring, physical-gesture and anything that might be of value in you getting the part.
Lately I worked a.o. this way with Milan van Waardenburg for his role as Jean Valjean and Leonie Kappmeyer for her role of Sally Bowles in Cabaret.
Maybe you are new to the business, insecure about your technical abilities. Or sometimes your abilities are just not up to scratch.
You are a great dancer, but your acting abilities are lagging. Or you sing like Pavarotti but have no idea what to do on stage. Maybe you have tons of ideas but don't know how to bring them to life.
There are only 24 hours in a day and often we chose to use them to perfect one skill thereby neglecting others.
No panic, I can help you to brush up on your acting and interpretation skills. With more than twenty years of experience in the field of teaching I have you on track in no time.
Preparing for a (Lead) role can be a daunting task.
Not only are you
